ROCÍO CERÓN EN EL POETRY PARNASSUS


"Entre el martes y el sábado de la pasada semana se realizó en Londres el festival Poetry Parnassus, en el que poetas de todos los países olímpicos celebraron la poesía. En el programa había diversas lecturas, performances y debates, pero uno de las citas más populares fue el "bombardeo de poesía" del colectivo chileno Casagrande, que inundó el cielo londinense con 100.000 poemas de autores contemporáneos como Seamus Heaney, Alain Mabanckou, Kay Ryan o Santiago Barcaza (vía The Guardian)." The World Record is an international anthology of work by all poets appearing at Poetry Parnassus, published by Bloodaxe Books with Southbank Centre.

Rocío Cerón was born in Mexico City in 1972. Her work is experimental, combining poetry with music, performance and video. Her books of poetry include Basalto (2002), Imperio/Empire (2009, interdisciplinarybilingual edition) and Tiento (Germany, 2011). Her poems have been translated into English, Finnish, French, Swedish and German, and she has performed her work at venues in France, Germany, Sweden and Denmark.
